PlayPen has been set up by working mum Leo Wood, who is also founder of Winkley Studios & Cooks Yard coworking spaces. Launched in 2013, Winkley Studios is our flagship co-working space offering 17 desks in a light and airy warehouse space in Bethnal Green. Cooks Yard is a similarly peaceful and friendly coworking hub, set in a homely attic warehouse in Whitechapel.  |

Poplar HARCA housing association run the St Paul’s Way Community Centre and are an organisation committed to making Poplar a better place to live.  As well as owning over 9,000 homes in the area, its initiatives empower the local community to take on food growing projects, launch new start up businesses, organise festivals and so much more.

The Bow Brew cafe offers a relaxed café environment with great coffee and snacks.  Its very conductive to working, with free wifi and plenty of plug sockets and is child-friendly.  Backing on to the café is a large green space, great for you and your little ones to let off steam or soak up some sun.


Bloomsbury Beginnings helps parents work flexibly around their children, start new businesses, and grow their personal and professional networks. They provide hotdesking and collaborative learning events for start up entrepreneurs, freelancers and parents going through a career transition.
